To determine P, you need the following:
• the pipe inside diameter (ID)
• the wall thickness (WT)
• the installed pipe coupling length (CL)
• the transducers face depth (FD)
• the mounting angle (MA)
Use Figure 155 below to properly measure the coupling length. Typically,
the transducer face is positioned just outside the inside diameter (ID) of the
pipe, or slightly retracted inside the coupling.
